Computational Vision Group

CVG is located in the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Florence. Its main activities includes scientific research and technology transfer in the field of computer vision.

At CVG senior researchers and students collaborate to design and develop hardware/software computer vision solutions combining model-based and deep learning approaches.

Scientific topics encompass 3D scene reconstruction, object recognition, tracking and classification of movements and gestures (see our research page). Applications include advanced robotics, industrial automation, preservation and valorization of cultural heritage, aids for impaired people, biomedicine, multimedia forensics, education and home automation (see also our projects page).
